Scanners from auto parts stores are crap. It's a Ford so take it to a Ford dealer. They will put an NGS on it and find the problem fast. FYI though, when a diag tool cant communicate with the PCM, its may mean that the PCM is toast.

Yep, sometimes a code can have an error or be undefined with cheaper models. I would have a Ford dealer scan it like previously mentioned, hopefully it isn't toast though. Also, any exhaust mods? And when was the last tune up? Can you tell if anything is happening under acceleration, does it feel different?

The reason it's reading "error" is because your car is a 95. The scanners they lend you are OBDII scanners for 96+. You need an OBDI scanner. Usually auto stores do not have these to lend.

Not true. There are cars that have (16 pin) connectors OBD2 but have (12 pin) connector OBD1 hook ups/systems. (4 of the pins are blank) An OBD2 plug will fit an OBD1 connector and vice versa.

They all used obdII scanner. It is a 16 pin connector and I see only 6 pins being used.Manufactured 07/95.
