i started my car tonight and a strange high pitched like ticking/whining started when i pushed in the clutch. i was not happy. i don know what it is...does any1 have any idea? it stopped after a while and now its doing it every once in a while. i wanna take it to the dealership...but if it doesnt make the noise theyre gonna think im a crackhead. and i will cry. no but seriously...any ideas would be appreciated. thanx.

how hard/expensive is this to fix? what caused it? why does it only do it occasionally?

i am not sure as to why it only does it sometimes, but it is a relatively inexpensive part, ithink it was less than 20$ for my f-250. you will have to drop the transmission to replace, which will make it a pain to do yourself or expensive to bring to the dealership. since its an 03' would it still be under warantee?
