EGR Delete Kit worth it?

EGR Delete Kit worth it?
So I was looking at this EGR delete kit for $15:
http://www.modulardepot.com/Exhaust/...duct_info.html
Is it worth buying?
What are the benefits of deleting the EGR?
Disadvantages?
Will it harm or hurt anything?
Are there any other parts I will need to buy if there are any disadvantages to this?

Hi,
If you disable the EGR, you will be increasing the amount of emissions coming from the exhaust (particulary NOx) as well as probably throwing a check engine light. The purpose of the EGR is to recirculate exhaust gases back into the combustion chamber.
Contrary to belief, the inert gasses that are placed back into the combustion chamber help reduce the heat build up in the cylinder. Removal or an EGR valve stuck closed will cause a lean condition, which will be seen via STFT values on a good scan tool.
You will have to see if the other members have disabled there EGR and see how there vehicles are running.
Hope this helps.
