Is there anything to 'look out for' when buying a used one? I am looking at a couple low mileage ones. One has a manual transmission and the opther an automatic. I am wondering if there are 'problem' items that frequently appear or had/costly to fox items to look out for?

go for a manual, watch for how smooth the transmission is. if it makes any grinding noise when going into gear or not, these transmissions if beaten on a regular basis tend to let the 2nd-3rd gear shift synchros go out. if its an 03 see if you can hear any ticking and by ticking i mean a louder ticking that its very noticable. the 03's or early ones if they didn't recieve the recall are prone to head ticking which i believe is a valve guide going out. other than that its a pretty stout car and you will love it.
