I do not own a mustang yet, but I keep looking for the right one. I am selling a 99 Silverado and was looking for a partial swap of an 87-up 5.0 5spd. A local guy just offered a straight swap for a '95 Cobra. This thing has more done to it than I can pick out. 347 shortblock from Ford, Vortec supercharger, largeer injectors/ fuel rails, boost retard controler, FMU(?), line lock, ported and polished heads, 3:73 rear, adjustable rear control arms(?), 18" wheels,no AC, Cowl hood, ghost flames, roll bar w/ removable driver sidebar for entry, Flomaster exhaust, long tube headers, ;eather interior. This is just what I have been able to pick out. The odometer shows only 27,000 and I am sure that they are hard miles with lots of track time. The guy who has it has only had it a year and got it with the mods done. He needs a bigger truck to pull an enclosed car trailer. My truck should seel for $12,000 at least. Is this thing worth that? Can I turn back aroung and sell it? The paint isn't perfect, but very nice. He says is making 480hp, but the best he's done in the quarter is 13's, is he full of crap? (he says that it bogs bad with slicks if launched around 3000, but spins quite a ways if launched near 4000, but that gave him the best ET.)

I don't know enough about Mustangs to judge this. I grew up Mopar, and am looking for something different and fun. Any thoughts?

 

YO i would way all the options but right now that deal sounds really good...i would take it ...but take it out for a test run...see if its what ur looking for...but i would jump on it (that's just my opionon there...)

 

I just don't know how to figure a value since it seems that most of the Cobra parts have been modified or replaced, is it still a cobra, or just another modified mustang? Tha's not all bad, but is there still this kind of value in it?
