newly acquired 5.4L 2v
ok so i just purchased a 5.4L 2v out of a 1998 f250. im new to working on engines so i came to the best for advice.
first what should i have checked first before i start to work on the engine to build it to my specs?
after that i want to keep the engine naturally aspirated and preferably 2v and im looking to get in the 300 rwhp range. from what ive read i already know this year and model engine came with 235 hp and 330 tq and NPI parts for the bottom end, heads, cams, intake, etc. what would you suggest in order to attain roughly 300 rwhp keeping it naturally aspirated?
this engine would be going in my 2007 replacing my v6. im sure there are plenty of reasons not to go this route but thats not what im interested in. i want to know what to have checked before rebuilding and then some parts recommendations keeping my goals in mind
