nope. when a HID ignites it takes something like 24000 volts to get the bulb ignited. this is a HUGE power draw on a stock wiring harness not designed for such power. the stock wires can melt (which is what i was talking about). this is why you use a relay kit (one or two relays can be used depending on how you wire it theres more than 1 way to skin a cat).

switch bulbs also like said if the left side still goes out, theres a problem with your wires or something.
