the only kit that i know of thats under $3k (keep in mind $3k is a great deal if the kit has quality parts), is the on3 performance turbo kit. it starts at $1400 but it comes with a crappy turbo. the 70mm MP turbo upgrade kit is $1700 but those prices are for their stainless kits. 304 stainless is garbage for turbo kits. it cant handle the heat cycles and cracks in a year or two. they do offer a mild steel kit but i didnt see it offered on their web site. heres the link http://www.on3performance.com/mustang50.html give them a call and see how much the mild steel kit is. you can also check out boost brothers but they offer not turbo upgrade and no mild steel kit so id stay away from them if your car is a DD. if its strickly a race car, SS is fine since it wont see many heat cycles

and fwiw, once you go turbo, you never go back so invest in a decent kit. go with b&g, youll thank me when all the parts bolt in correctly and the kit lasts longer then your motor does unlike the cheap kits that almost always require some grinding, cutting and banging to make fit.

http://bgturbokits.com/storebg/index...&products_id=9 base kit starts at $1200 and for $1000 more (after picking turbo and other parts) you have a great kit

keep in mind tho that none of these kits include fuel upgrades or a tune. youll need a bigger fuel pump, 42# injectors and maf calibrated for the new injectors. youll also need a custom tune since youll be running boost or at the very least, an fmu and msd btm box to control timing

you can also get a decent used kit on corral. i see quality kits going for under $2000 all the time, just be sure you know what your looking at before you buy
