Closest Ford to a FWD mustang was the Probe. I bought the last of the line in 97 instead of the mustang. The headaches of maintaining FWD, CV boots, my steering rack, wheel bearings, and torque steer convinced me I was done with FWD. My next car was my 08 GT. Funny. My first car was a 68 Chevell Coupe with a 327 and 4bbl carb. Kind of have gone full circle.

FWD is a pain in the A$$! Ford was actually stupid enough to consider getting rid of the Mustang and replacing it with the Probe. Just like NBC decided to get rid of Leno only to bring him back 7 months later. You gotta wonder what these people are smoking.

Oh, I forgot to mention. The Mustang being a larger car has a tighter turn radius than my Probe GT. Turning the wheels more must be related to the absence of FWD. Although my 77 Jeep Cherokee, being a 4X4 no less, had an amazingly small turn radius as well. Go figure.
