some places say taht removing the air silencer will change the exhasust note just a bit

it might be my imaginatino, but it sounds a bit deeper, and maybe a bit more of a burble than before.. any experiance with this anyone?

also,, with the silencer removal, it just looks like way to big of a hole going into the air filter,, is this just my imagination?

i never removed the silencer.. just got a cai. but i never really payd much attention to it before b/c that was before i did exhaust.

 

I noticed a deeper tone with my cai install with h-pipes.
