Just curious as to which year was the lightest production 5.0 made? lx or gt.

LX notchbacks were always lighter than GT hatchbacks.

 

Welp, a Notchback w/ No Options w/ a carb swapped on it would be purdeh light.

 

What about LX hard top vs. LX convertible. Which is lighter?

 

hardtops always lighter than convertible.

 

My buddies 86 GT says 3770 on the door.....The 87 LX 2.3 Hatch says 3075.......My 90 lx 2.3 Vert says 3890....I dont really care too much about the weight...From what I see up here in NY is most hatches have huge stereo systems and 10 different bottles of car cleaners tachs 3 air freshners and 17 inch rims with lowering kits and a 100lb wing with all the other effects one could fit with 35 CDs 5 additional support bars alarm system shoulder strap neon lights with ten coats of Armoral...Sorry got me venting...........So the difference has to minimal.....I can barely hold two cases of Canadas Finest in my trunk..With the top down I dont need a Stereo.....

all i know is that i had aa 93 notchback and i have a 90 hatchback and i can tell the difference in weight
