when reinstalling the stock springs, you guys recommend using a spring compressor so the spring doesn't shoot out at my crotch and destroy any hopes i've ever had of having babies?
i'm thinking i need to buy one of those compressors so i'm alive to drive my mustang once it's back in running shape, unless anyone has an easy way to install the springs without getting seriously injured?

The spring compressors work to both keep the spring from jumping out and getting you, and they make installation a lot easier too. i always rent mine since you only need them for 30 minutes at a time. Try to get the belt type, especially if you have a compressor/air rachet setup. The belts don't scratch the paint/pwdr coat, but they are long and can get agrevating to tighten/loosen.
I just lowered mine and went to autozone. Put down 50 bucks, then return it within 2 days and i got all cash back. You cant go wrong...I would definately use it though, i would hate to have one fly out at me while its compressed!!

I didnt even use spring compressors on mine they just sat in the front seat the whole time. If you really want to get a pair and there is a autozone near you just give them 50. to rent them and when you return them they will give you all your money back. You will need a air compressor, air tools, and two jack stands. Lift the front left put a jack stand in and then do the front right and put one in and lower the car down on them. Easy to do..
