Fans cooling proper direction???
Having some trouble trying to keep my 428 cool, I had twin 2500 cfm pusher fans mounted and connected as if pullers (mistakenly). Obviously this was not doing the job. Bought a new single 2900 cfm puller fan, mounted the pushers on the outside and the puller on the inside. Ran the car and found that it got hot even faster???? WTF!
Ok now I am going through the docs again, found that I may have my wires reversed on the puller, but it seemed to be pulling air in??
The main question is why did it run even hotter? I think I know the answer but I want to hear it from someone else!
Tomorrow I try reversing the wires, and run it again.

RE: Fans cooling proper direction???
You want the fan mounted on the engine side of the radiatior and wired as a puller, this is the most effective way for a fan to function. Now in your post you never said what diameter fan (fans) you have, a shroud will help out a ton, because without one the fan only moves air over a small portion of the radiatior. The reason it may not have cooled as well with all those fans is that the airflow through the radiator was reduced. Hope this helps

I am running 2 12" pushers from the front. and a 16" puller from inside, no shroud on the puller
