Ok so problem with my 92 5.0 gt.. When in gear driving down the street if i try to give it alot of gas the engine just revs and the rpms go up but the car doesnt go anywhere.. whats the deal? if anyone knows i would apreciate a little help thanks

Either your clutch or torque converter is going out. Is it auto or manual?

 

Either your clutch is way out of adjustment or the clutch is gone.Does the pedal grab real high?I wouldnt be doing that to the clutch cause if its just out of adjustment its gonna get burned doing that so be easy on it.Do you have an adjustable clutch cable??How many miles on the car and clutch??

 

its a manual . the car has 263k miles on the car and as far as i know its still the stock clutch that came on it. :/ still runs strong though.. The clutch does seem to grab real high. I thought that was how they were spose to be? and it is adjustable..

clutch is fried sounds to me

 

yup sounds like your clutch is gone, you may shred it soon so you might wanna change that asap or you will be stranded
