Default $8 a gallon

Yes guys I libve in UK and we are almost at $8 a gallon.

I am looking to buy an automatic GT about 2007 or so.

Can someone please tell me what mpg figures I can expect in real life urban and on the freeway and do the engines respond well to LPG conversions

Thx

Paul

Mileage depends on how you drive, but about 20-25 highway and like 15 city, realistically, if you don't drive like a teenager at least. That's in mpg.

As far as an LPG conversion, not sure how they would respond, but LPG in one engine follows the same rules as any other engine.

At $8 a gallon, your mileage will vary from terrible to outright crappy! On the bright side, you'll be the only one in your town with a Mustang.

I think with auto you'll get 18 - 24 MPG. Check out my sig for 70MPG ride

..just curious why you want an automatic? You'll get 1-2mpg better with a standard tranny.. and at $8/gallon isn't every mpg worth pursuing?

Also a stick will perform a bit better too, it's win-win!

Mainly cos I love the relaxation of an auto !!!

Most cars in UK are stick shifts and I like to be different.

Just enjoy not having to change gear I guess

Many thanks to everyone for their help

Am looking at dealerships now for a 2008 Premium GT - only problemis paying $1000 to ship to UK and then 22% of purchase price for taxes when I get it here !!!

I have never been able to understand how you folks manage to live in Europe. With all these ridiculous taxes they weigh you down with, it must take a Herculean effort just to survive. I could never live like that. It's bad enough here with the all the arbitrary taxes they keep creating, that never pay for what they are actually supposed to pay for. For example, we pay taxes (a lot) here in Cali for basic societal services. Now, since they have squandered these said taxes on stupid things they are going to start charging us if the police or ambulance have to respond to a call. An ambulance tax if you will. How crazy is that!?
