I live in West Sussex UK.

I have had fast and also cruiser American cars before and am looking for a keeper
Have always likes Mustangs and want a nearly new one but auto . Woudl a supercharged one kill the mpg a lot ?.
Not looking to have a wild modified ride - is the standard fast enough to keep me smiling every morning?.

I drove a Roush Supercharged one in the UK and it was expensive to run.... 12 MPG!! However, My Dad drives a Grabber Orange V6 Convertible Auto and loves it! Pretty sure he gets above 20 mpg easy.

You being from West Sussex I'd imagine you are pretty well off (no insult intended) but I know my friend lives in Horsham and is pretty well off!! LOL

Anyways, you'll be fine! Any ideas where you are going to purchase from?

No idea Elmo where going to buy from.

Have been trawling ebay but guess more certainty from a main Ford agent.

Are there any specialist Mustang dealers in States I could try.

Has to be V8 - just for posing factor and the fact we run a 8000 ( yes eight thousand) hp fop fuel funny car so have V8 in my blood

Intending to wait for new model to depress prices on an 08 or 09 then get a cheap flight over and buy one. Have checkwd with UK authorites Car tax and VAT total 30% - now that was a shock !!!!!

Here's a helpful piece of information, if you did not know about it already :
go to

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/

click on SEARCH ---> enter YEAR, MAKE, MODEL and it will give you the EPA MPG

and you are able to view and enter personal gas mileage scores, the % of highway/city driving amount, and the State in which you live in. There is a tool which calculates how much money you spend on gas a year based on how many miles you drive each day, and last it shows the amount of barrels of gas your car consumes, and its pollution scores.

Neat huh?

I know a dealer in the UK.

You can get a 2008 Bullitt V8 for around GBP 28000 (Delivery Miles)
2009 Black V8 for about 27000 (Delivery Miles)
2007 Black with Grey Stripes GT500 (1250 miles) GBP 38000

or you could get this

6500 miles for about 40000GBP built of a GT500 car with engine upgrades to push 700bhp

I think it would be cheaper to do the run around and import one yourself, but will be more of a headache!!

Hope this helps

I'm just surious as to why you are planning on buying an older mode when there are so many good deals on the newer ones right now? If it's that you like the older body style, then I can totally see why you are going that route. It may be better and cheaper though to just import a brand new one
