Default When to upgrade wheel studs

i recently installed a #.73 gear and a 1 piece aluminum driveshaft into my 2007 mustang gt. I am going to purchase a set of drag radials from M&h tires. What i need to know is if Should upgrade my wheel studs? I have gotten mixed opinions on doing this. I have talked to some professional drag racers and various people from speed shops and even called jegs. I don't mind doing the upgrade i just dont know if i am worrying too much about this. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Most sanctioning bodies require you to run longer studs when you are using slicks, which is basically what you have. Think of it this way, if you snap the studs off the tire will tear the **** out of your rear quarterpanel on it's way out of the car and the rocker panel will not like coming into contact with the asphalt either. Cheap insurance if you ask me.
