Default Headlight condensation

hey guys, recently installed a set of cobra headlights on my gt, upon doing so i decided to restore the factory corners as well as foglights. upon taking the slight haze out i now notice that condensation is forming on the insides. When i put the cobra headlights in i put a small bead of sillicone were the lense and housing seal together as backup, dont have any problems with them. Instead of dong this to my corners and fogs as well, what about drilling say a 1/8 inch hole somewhere on the housing thats not immediatley noticiable, or available for crap to get inside. do you think this will provide an adequate vent for the condensation/humidity to escape out of?
My previous car had a smale hole in the housing which im guessing served this purpose. just wanted to see if anyone else is done it and would receomend it.

that wont work.. instead of condensation escaping it will always be there... take the lamps out and the fogs clean them dry them out and silicone the edges, also make sure the gasket at the sockets are good..

Yep^^^ The first sunny day you'll have more condensation than ever before if you drill holes.

Damn I feel your pain. I just bought a set of those halo headlights and sealed the **** out of them. And I'm no newb at caulking things. Both of them get condensation under real heavy rain but then it goes away in a few days..WTF. Don't get those btw, the am ones. They suuuuuccccckkk for lighting up the road. I bought the $20/ea bulbs too. 4 of em.

Forum Necrophilia!!!

But, I am a big believer is not starting a new thread of one is already created.

Anyways....

I have a headlamp on my 01 that is really fogged up and the condensation never leaves. Ordered a new OEM headlamp.

Before I install, do I need to silicon the new headlight? Or does/should is already be properly sealed?

Hmmm. I had put a new set of lights on mine and they had condensation forming in them. I took them out and drilled a couple small holes in the bottom corners on the back, and never had the problem again.
