Hey guys i've got a 98 gt with after market exhaust. Headers all the way back. There are no Catilac converters. It has a cross pipe and flow master mufflers.

My check engine light is on all the time. It says 02 sensors when I scan it. I assume its from have no cat. Is there a way to trick the computer so the light will go out? I'm also affraid its going to get crappy mileage because the sensors are sending wonky signals.

Any ideas??

 

Did you install the O2 sensors in the proper location?

I'd be more worried about engine damage than bad mileage.

 

ya i put them in the places they are supposed to be (infront of cat and one behind) but there is no cat.

Its runs great. So i'm not sure..

 

get a tuner and turn off rear o2 sensors

 

buy MIL eliminators from AM or someplace else. plugs in to the harness and the O2 sensor and does exactly what you want. tricks the comp in thinking the cats are still there and working

i have them on my 04 GT with O/R x and have not had a single O2 code for the 3 months i have had them on the car.
