Default Carpet Molding?

Welp, finally decided to start moving things around where I want them.
Had a piece of plywood in the hatch area of my car holding down my battery box and nitrous bottle.

After removing my backseat I've decided to move my nitrous bottle to the hump in the middle of the car.
Where the seat was.
Well it's there now and I've removed the plywood and now have the box in it's rightful location(connected to the car).

Welp, here comes the question.
I got some carpet from a friend who does boats and the like.
Got a good amount for it, enough to do the whole car if I wanted.
But not going to.
I'd like to mold it along the recesses in the back seat.
If it's not do-able too easily, it's cool.
I'll just try and flatten it out, using aluminum strips.

If it is not too thick you can lay it out in the sun to make it soft, and them use 3M spray adhesive to stick to the car, usually works very well.

Isn't that spray adhesive a beotch? If it's anything like the adhesives I've used, once you stick it down, you better hope you have it right because it's not coming up without a huge fight.

It can be, you just need to make sure that the carpet is right before you stick it down.

that adhesive gets very tacky very quickly. I've used it to make a home made poker table, and it you get the carpet right, it'll stick forever.

Sounds like a plan.
But how would this fit the recesses and such?
Or should I just cut the carpet so it "bends" properly into the corners of where the seat went.

You can cut it, or trim it to the basic shape and then let it sit in hot sun for a few hours and you should be able to get it pretty close.

And, DAMN.
Took it for a ride without the sound deadening **** in there.
Whole area from the back of the front seats to my tail lights(floor only)
Have been stripped to metal.
Loud as ****....
Dynomat any heavier than stock sound deadening?
May end up doing my whole backend with it...
That's rediculous!

If you want to use dynomat get a stuf called be quite its lighter than dynomat and way easier to mold. This stuff can be done with out a hairdryer and sticks very well.I did my whole truck with it ended up putting over 500 pounds of the stuff in which oviously you dont want that much but it works great with even a little stuck around.Do you know you can buy a complete carpets set already molded for under 200 bucks and it will fit perfect??Honestly for the trouble your going to go threw with trying to get that boat carpet down it might be easier to just buy some new carpet
