Default Power window not working... HELP

I have a 2002 vert v6. The drivers door window stopped working. I replaced the motor but that didn't fix it. I bench tested the new motor and it does work.

I have 12vdc at the plug that plugs into the motor plug when I put both leads in the plug. But only when the switch is in one position and not both up and down.

When I plug the motor in and check for voltage at the wires to the plug while plugged in I can't get 12vdc.

I haven't had a chance to check the switch yet. Could the switch be the problem or should I look somewhere else first?

All the other windows are working.

Any help will be appreciated.

I don't have a schematic in front of me, but if I remember correctly, there's supposed to be 12v to the switch. The switch position determines the path it takes, changing the polarity of the window motor; two pathways, one for up and one for down.

But only when the switch is in one position and not both up and down.
This sounds confusing, so you have 12v potential when the switch is in one of the two positions?

Where are your test leads at? Both in the plug? Or one in the plug and the other to chassis ground?

Both test leads are in the plug. I can also get 12v from one side of the plug to ground.

I found the problem and it's now fixed. It seems there was some oxidation between the pin and the wire terminal on the switch. I took a small screwdriver and used it to move the terminal on the pin to scratch them up so they made clean contact with each other.

That solved the problem. I'm going to get some electrical contact cleaner and spray all the pins and terminals to clean it up a little more.
