Default snake oil?

ok, opinion time guys. what do you guys think of oil additives? lucas oil, hyperlube, etc. one web site i found said not to use ANY of the stuff. called it snake oil. ( not literally) said some of those do more damage than anything. said a good quality oil will have all the additives you need. anybody use any of this stuff long term? what do use guys have to say?

Forget about oil additives...if you want the best oil in the world buy MOTUL 300V...guys in the local race club swear by it...apparently reduces driveline loss significantly
