Default Need advice diagnosing ac/blower fan problem

Hi guys. The fan was working intermittently for a while. Now, it doesn't come on at all. I took out the fan and hooked it up to the battery. Works fine. I tested the voltage going to the wires that plug into the fan and saw it's getting power. When I insert the plug into the blower motor it just doesn't work for some reason.

I'm not sure where the resistor fits into the equation, but I found it and took it out. It's basically a plug with a flat black enamel coated sticking out? I don't now if it's good or bad. Should I get a new one?

Thanks for any advice!

I'd check the wiring from the fan up to the solenoid where it connects and look for a broken/melted wire or corrosion on the solenoid post.

Does it, I should say, "did" it make any loud clicking sounds before it stopped working when it turned on and off? Like the sound a relay makes?

Ok. I didn't hear any clicking noise. Maybe you're right about the corrosion. Last year a ton of rain water did start pouring into my passenger side under the dash because of leaves and debris falling inside the grate between the hood and windshield.

If you don't find any problems there I'd say it has to either be a bad power relay or temp switch. I'm not sure what either one looks like on these cars though as I've yet to have to mess with it. But I believe (could be 100%wrong) that the relay is close to the solenoid... -----/fanwire/-----/relay/----/solenoid/.
