Engine build/opinions.
Gday guys and girls,
Ive recently moved out to the US from Australia and i have been playing around with a project 67 mustang for a bit of fun.
Now i have finished most of the body work still a few things to do but im looking at getting an engine built up. Coming from Aus where we are heavily into LSX motors i know nothing about the ford power plants, new or old.
What im looking for is opinions on which way i should go with this build in terms of retro fitting a new engine and building a solid street car.
My only requirement is that is is either turbo (single or twin) or procharged.
Who would i talk to in regards to actually building the engine as i am new to America and the car scene is huge and dont want to get ripped off.
Budget wise im only looking to spend around $40,000 for the complete engine. I will take care of the fuel system, ignition etc.
Cheers in advance.
Trav.

Just build a pushrod engine like what it came with, no need then to mess with swap crap and it will cost less. Blow through turbo carb setup or EFI if you want. It depends on how much power you want to make too, aftermarket 302 block, stroke it to a 347 and add boost, 600+hp on pump gas with minimal effort.
That's just one of a multitude of ways to do it.
