Default Carburator guys!

in my 92 i did a 351 swop, i have a barry grant 750 carb. the problem im having is the car never wants to run on start up. i turn her over and she starts but dies, i turn the idle up< get it idling at 1000 in neutral and the car runs. But then i go outside the next day and i gotta do the same thing over again?. why isnt the idle staying?

That's probably problem 1 if you're driving the thing regularly on the street. Are you waiting till the car is totally warmed up before setting the idle?

That's your problem. A carb has to be set when the engine is totally warmed up. And even then, it won't idle properly when set right until warmed up.
