rousch cai question.....
most of the cai/ tuner combo packages Ive found (Steeda, Amer Muscle, K&N, etc) yeah run like 5-600 bucks. From what I can read into them, they only produce upto like 17ish rwhp, and like 12ish lbs torque, mostly from the actual tune, not just the CAI. However, reading into the description for a Roush CAI, alone, increases supposedly up to like 12 rwhp and 9ish lbs of torque. Am I crazy for thinking that with that, then buying a tuner from like Steeda or Diablosport, etc, give me a lot more get up and go, even though the price would be roughly the same?
nope. i know the 3v's actually get some good gains from an intake and a tune, but i dont see one being significantly better than the rest as long as they are all quality ones.
don't believe advertised horsepower numbers, thats all i'm going to say on that.
buy a used handheld, and whatever intake you think looks pretty. save yourself money on a used tuner.
