Default Foglight upgrade?

Bought a 2000GT 3 weeks ago and got caught in my first rainstorm lastnight - on the freeway. I know the fogs were on, but they were not helping AT ALL. Just looking at them, they seem un impressive.

Are there aftermarket fog upgrades that are the same shape as the stock lights? I dont want to cram something in there that doesn't look like it belongs.

My 97 GT road lights suck. They are factory and there is nothing wrong with them, they just arent very good. I was wondering if the ones that look like factory, but have the clear lens are any better? What is everyone doing with theirs.......besides stock?

Clear lens aftermarket foglight assemblies with HID bulbs are actually functional, but are relatively expensive.

...And what do you mean by " relatively expensive"?
Do you have a vendor of the HID clearlens's that you would recommend?
I found a vendor on ebay selling replacemnt bulbs for GT foglights = about $10 plus $8 for shipping. Sounds sketchy if you ask me.

Clear lens fog light assemblies are $60 - $70 without bulbs.

True HID conversion kits for either fog lights or headlights are around $300

I have the clear lens ones, I didn't really notice a difference. But I didn't expect a big difference with my fog lights, thats what my headlights are for. They do look cool though.

any lights in the rain suck, because the glare off the wet pavement. there might be a PIAA system that has the same shape or close to the stock ones that can be mounted in the fog light locations.
