Default New member with questions..

Ok, I have owned my 72 Mustang fastback since spring of 1985. Yes, this is my first car and I still own it. It has a factory 351C 4v engine, with the boat anchor FMX transmission. It has driven very little in the last 12 years, but, every year I buy something for it. The main reason why I haven't driven it much is gas prices and a crazy little shake it has developed. To try and eleviate the problem I have replaced, rear end, driveshaft, leaf springs, Magnum 500's, shocks, flywheel, torque converter, harmonic balancer, distributor and a brand new front end rebuild kit that is still in the box to be installed very soon. The vibrations seems like a rotation vibration. While driving down the road it seems as if you can feel it in the whole interior, and like I said, it seems to be a re-occuring vibration like something rotating. Dad said that he read that the harmonic balancer and the flywheel have to be balanced in some sort of way or it can cause said vibrations. Any thoughts or ideas? I would love to start it up and drive it whenever I wanted without worrying about something coming apart via vibration.
Thanks again,
Chuck

You can easily deduce if it's before the transmission or after. Does it vibrate while reving in neutral? Or get it up to the speed it vibrates and take the transmission out of gear.
