Default 456 gears

is a 4.56 gear set to aggressive for street?i have an 89 gt,pretty much stock with flows and headers

It depends on the type of driving you do. If you do alot of highway driving I would not recomend it. 3.73 or a 4.10 gear would be a better choice IMO.

ok,thanks for the response,the car came with an extra set of the 4.56 gears thats why i was curious,i am not sure what is in it now,i just know it at 65 mph it only shows around 17-1800 rpm,the guy said it wasn't stock that he had it set up for mileage not acceleration(which is the first thing i am changing,lol)then next up is an electric fan

4.56s are a violent *** gear. Haha my buddys got em in his mach. Def not super streetable but lots of fun
