Default Hi there! Questions!

Hi everyone, new to the site. Im Bryn, i live in Los Angeles, CA and have A 1995 f-250 5.8EFI 2WD regular cab, i believe it is long bed and has 2 tanks on a switch. Id like to ask some questions about it. I am proficient with the mechanics of domestic vehicles and can do almost any of the work myself. purchasing automotive specific tools is not a problem either. id like some personal opinions on combos and certain bottlenecks of the motor. especially regarding labor oriented modifications (porting, port matching, welding H-pipe or dual cats). This motor may eventually find its way into a 1982 ford mustang LX 5.0 5Spd i will soon have also.

I would love to know about taking parts from junkyard cars and rebuilding or upgrading internals to swap to the 351, like taking GT-40 parts from explorers and such. Also wondering about the headers and intake manifold, i know they are a big bottleneck for all of the EFI windsors. would love lots of information on the entire induction and exhaust system please. the dual throttle bodies look to flow enough air for an engine of this displacement in mild tune.

The truck was given to me by my employer, Theis Industries. my boss tells me it had a "Target Motor" install at about 190,000 miles. it currently has 221,000. i am wondering exactly what the differences are, if any, between the original motor and this "target motor". he claims also that the transmission came with the target motor. it runs strong and the mileage is not abnormal, no strange behavior, no service lights on dash, and the transmission shifts well and pulls strong. i believe it is equipped with a ford 10-inch axle. the transmission is an E4OD i do believe, but have not checked. As far as i can tell the motor is completely factory. it is equipped with a Flowmaster setup past the cat. Im assuming that the dual exhaust from motor to cat is factory.

First, i'd like to know if there are any junkyard available (rebuild or upgrade of internals is not a problem, vales springs bearings etc) upgrades, this is abigtime as labor is no problem for me the time is there but the money is not as plentiful. but new internals are not a problem for certain things. if anyone has used performance parts for sale compatible with this motor please let me know. would love to hear of experiences with modifying this motor. Thanks very much in advance!!
