Default Air bags

Daughter popped the air bags in my 98 Mustang. Do I also have to replace the sensors? Also is there a procedure for removing/ installing the passenger side beside a crowbar (Wife is afraid that I will use crowbar on daughter)? And finally is there an alternative to the air bags out there. All your help is appreciated.

You usually do not have to replace the sensors in the front of the vehicle but you do have to replace the module that is I think under the center councel on Mustangs. You have to remove the glove box on the passenger side to get to the bolts. When I bought my 96 someone had removed the airbags so I put what are airbag covers in and they look like the oem airbags but there is no airbags in them I paid $140 for them. The web site is www.hicksairbagcovers.com The only problem with this option the air bag light will always be on I'm gonna put a piece of tape over it when I get a chance.
