Is there anyone here with a 2010 or older V6 Mustang that can keep up or beat a 350Z? If so, what are your mods? I'd like to reach near that kind of power on my V6.

 

A 350Z is a pretty equal opponent to a 2010 V6 Stang, so I would imagine just get a cold air intake, aggressive tune, 4:10 or 3:73 gears, and possibly headers and exhaust.

 

You sure you don't mean 2011 Stang? And those are actually the mods I plan on getting, I only have dual exhaust so far, but to me it just doesn't seem like much. But then again, I don't really know much about mods and hoe much of a difference it'll make.

 

No, I meant the 2010 V6, have a little confidence in your Stang man

If you really want some good power, and you have the money to spend, look into getting a supercharger or a turbo under your hood, that will blow those fart can 350z's out of the water

Assuming he has a manual tranny, torque is around 260 and hp is around 306... Those cars are a pretty good bargain for the power they offer, not to mention they weigh about 3200lbs. Pretty solid specs.

Do what ACE said and give it your best shot man. As for keeping up with them... Well, maybe if they were stock but around here its hard to find one that is, I mean they are not common as it is so when I do see one they are usually modded up the wazoo. =(

 

I want to believe. LOL I gotta say that I was inspired when I once saw a New Edge V6 smoke a Z. And I'm not looking to put a supercharger, I can't afford it and if I were to spend that much money on a car, I'd rather throw it in a GT. Maybe one day.

Mustang>350Z Most girls will be attracted to a Mustang, not a ricer 350Z, of course unless they watch those stupid Fast Furious movies.

 

Yeah I plan on adding those mods, I may get a tuner whithin the next month. And here in Los Angeles I only see stock Zs. ACE I agree, Mustangs are more beautiful and they turn heads more but I also like 350Zs . But I just think they have the ideal power that a V6 Mustang should have so that's why I want to have it around there.

 

Ah, sounds like you should have gotten a 2011 V6.

I almost got a Grabber Blue 2010 V6 manual tranny with the same exact stripe package I have, the only thing that stopped me from getting it was the clutch was bad on the test drive. Thank God for that clutch being bad, cus I went to another dealer and found my baby.
