Default hit a curb

I accidentally ran over curb in a parking lot turning too tightly (5-10 mph 'd guess). Rear right wheel only. car drove home fine but is it likely I damaged something? Should I take it to a dealer to have it checked? My cars only 4 months old and I already think I've messed it up.

If the car *feels* OK and tires aren't leaking air, you're ok

Did you drive over it, or smack it kinda hard?

I remember I hit a curb the same way and my tire quickly went flat. I was only going like maybe 4mph. It was one of those sharp edged curves. I had to buy a new nitto 555R tire cause of it. Also my rim lip got bent just a little where the cub hit..sukked.

I was about to ask the same thing. If you hit it hard, you should probably check your wheel for dents or a leaking tire. But if you drove over it, I think you should be ok. Either way, if the car feels funny, have it checked out.

my wheel went over it as opposed to sliding into it. Visually it looks ok, seem to drive fine, and I checked tire pressure today and it was fine. Maybe I'm being a little paranoid about it.

If visually it looks alright, you're probably ok. For peace of mind, you could always get the wheel/tire balanced. Cheap and easy. Plus, if it's holding air, you're golden.

No leaks in the tire and no visible damage prob ok. I was backing out from a parking spot and my front tire went over a curb. Sounded horrible but no damage and no leakage since (8 months ago)

I did this one time in Hawaii when I was in the Navy... I was driving on Pearl Harbor and was staring at a good looking girl walking on the other side of the street when my front right tire smacked into the curb and made a loud scratching thud. Yes a very embarrasing moment. lol

In the end the rim was bent but nothing else proved wrong. Fixed the wheel and fixed the problem. You are probably ok.
