Yippe! for Check engine light...no really im happy :)
Ok well I think I finally got to the problem. Right after my brother got done test driving my 96 GT the check engine light went on. Well to make a long story short I was selling it to him because he wrecked his mustang so anyway back to the light. I pulled the code and it was p1443 something that says Evaporative emissions control system control valve malfunction. Well I could never figure out why my fan ran constently and I wasnt pulling any codes. I read around the internet on ford rangers with this problem and I saw the letters PCM(powertrain control module) and another word PFM. Im not sure what the PFM is but does anyone know what to do to fix this code and have I found electrical grimlin hiding in my car?(well brothers car as soon as I fix this for him). Thanks for any info.

I searched around the internet and found a ton of reasons it may be on all the way from the gas cap not being all the way on to a vacuum leak and then I came across some guy who works or worked at a Ford dealership and he said this would fix it.
Could this be it but it doesnt seem to fix the fan problem.....DAMN YOU GRIMLIN DAMN YOU!!!!!!
you'll need to replace the thermistor(F57Z-14A606-BA@$15.00) & the cainster purge soleniod(E6ZZ-9C915-AA@$60.00

I seem to remember a code close to this, they asked the guy if he over filled his gas tank, by putting more gas in after the pump stopped.
And he had, so run the car to get the gas down, open the gas cap, then clear the code, and see if it comes back.

Just like windows. If anything goes wrong, shutdown and reboot.
