Default New guy looking for info.

He Guys. Sorry I don't own a Mustang. I did own a 91 LX hatchback 5.0 5 speed bought new off the lot in Feb. '92. Other than a couple of little things I really liked that car. Had it until about '94 then the second gear syncros started taking lunch. Was fine under normal driving but didn't like shifting quickly. A few mods. Cold air intake, headers and south side lower bars. Just a great fun driver. My real reason for registering is because I'm building a car and I'm going to use some kind of an EFI. I have an Edelbrock EFI Super Victor (Pontiac), and an EFI Spyder 90 degree 90MM elbow. I'm going to use the elbow on the Edelbrock Victor with a 90MM throttle body. This is all going on my built Pontiac 1960 389 block punched .090 over to a 406. The early Pontiac blocks were cast really stout/thick and with much more nickle so they are a great block to build a high HP motor. By 1962-63 they were starting to cast the blocks thinner and with less nickle so the later blocks are not as strong. Still good but not for the horsepower/stress level I intend to hit. This 406 is going to be turbochaged. My previous 1973 Trans Am used a '73 455 bored to 462, '78 cast iron factory smog heads, aluminum rods but the factory cast crank, 2 bolt studded bottom end, and heavy TRW forged pistons. But it dyno'd at 886.8 RWHP 5600 rpm (1056 at the flywheel). This 406, although smaller, was built right from the start for turbocharging. Aluminum 325CFM heads, forged 3.75 stroke crank, aluminum GRP rods, Ross dished turbo forged pistons, 4 bolt splayed main caps and the list goes on. I intend to hit 1200 HP or more with the help of EFI. The 90MM throttle body and elbow should have no problem getting me to that number blowing thru it with 15 psi or more plus intercooling.
Anywho. I've come here to research how you guys are using the 90MM throttle bodies and elbows and possibly your control units. Thanks for letting me drop in and steal all your secrets, heh. Mark L
