so my 2.3L 4Cyl engine is down to bare block and is really hard to crank. we torqued the bolts and nuts on the bearings and master bearings and we couldnt turn at all. then we loosened them to hand tight and we have to use a cheater bar to hand crank the crankshaft. any ideas why?

btw, we just replaced the pistons and lubed the bearings with 5W30 and we are turning slowly with oil in the cylinders making sure the oil gets all around the walls.

any help with this would be very much appreciated as we dont want to put this in the car again without making sure it will work.
