BTW, an inline 6 is much more efficient than a V6. That's because of cross sectional vibrations on the crank. An inline 6 is more efficient than a V6, and a V6 is more efficient than a cross-plane V8.

That means that there is a more HP potential you can make with more efficient engine. The less vibrations to deal with, the less power you'll loose while making power.

That actually directly related to cross sectional vibrations on the crank. V6 and V8 looses some torq because of these vibrations.

There are two types of V8, cross planar (American) and flat planar (european exotics). Cross planar has most of it's vibrations up on top. 10,000 rpm redline is a feat with cross planar engine. Though because there is not much vibrations in the bottom, ours have bottom end torq. Flat planar engines rev very high easily. All the vibrations in flat planar are at the bottom, so not much torq and power made in the bottom. That's why a V8 ferrari doesn't have any torq before it hits 4k.

The best engine arrangement is a V12, it's basically two inline 6 engines. No vibrations what so ever. The worst is a four banger (if 1 cylinder, 2 cylinder, 3 cylinders, and 5 cylinder engines are not taken into account).

Economy car my ***! My 01 GT averages 16 to 17 MPH in city and highway driving. A 4.6L is unforgiving to a led foot! My old 4.6L Romeo would give me 12 MPH when I was led footing.
led footing it and only going 12 MPH, ehh and only going 16-17 in the city? racing around town going faster then you do on the highway.

I'm not so sure what this has to do with the posters questions?

insurance on a mustang is classified as a sports car either way you go.
They are both classified as passenger vehicles. V6 or V8, both passenger vehicles. Atleast thats how it is for Liberty Mutual
