Wiring Question - Electric fan and relay
Looking for someone better at wiring than I am - I HATE WIRING STUFF!
Setting up the mark VIII fan on the mustang today, and since it's started raining, I've given up trying to make sense of this mess. Need to know what wires go where
The fan has 3 wires:
Low speed - N/A
High speed - Black with orange tracer
Ground - Black
Relay: (from the diagram)
Green - Fused +12v
Blue - N/A
Black - To the fan???
Red - 12v power
White - Grounding input (no idea what that's supposed to be)
Thermostatic switch:
Black wire in and black wire out
So if Im correct (unlikely)
The big green wire is power into the relay (maybe from the battery?), the big black wire goes out to the fan. (relay wiring)
The small white wire goes to the fan switch (relay wiring)
The red 12v power Im guessing is key on? (relay wiring)
The white wire connects to the probe in the rad (thermostatic switch)
As for the other side of the switch, Im thinking 12v from the battery?
Any help on this confusing post would be much appreciated.
