Default Got some questions

Hey guys I am new to the forums. I just bought my first Mustang. It is a 2002 GT... I really love the car. I just have a few questions.

Unfortunately it has an automatic transmission, which doesn't bother me much.

However at 114k miles I have a feeling it might need fluid changed as well as other parts for a tune up. How long do these transmissions last?

Another question I have is for some fun would a shift kid work good in the automatic transmission?

How expensive is it to swap a manual transmission into the car? Is it more economical to buy a manual version?

The life of any transmission will vary based on how you take care of it. With proper flushes and good maintenance you are looking at atleast 150k miles. Dont hesitate to those flushes.

As far as tranny sway, you are better off purchasing a manual version. The car is 10 years old so resale on it has sunk and you will be able to find a clean one at a steal of a price!
