Default winter storage?

hello everyone. in a few weeks I will be storing my Mustang for the winter.
Iam looking for some input from those who have done this in the past, as I dont want any nasty surprises come springtime. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I fill up the tank at the gas station adding stabil. Wash and wax the car. Attach battery tender and throw on the car cover. Though I will be putting cardboard under the tires this year, as I have seen recommendations to do this when it is stored on concrete. Also my car is stored in a heated garage.

I was deployed to Afghnastain so not only did my car sat for a winter it also set for a summer. Pretty much what Dragul said I did. If I can remember I put some kind of fuel stabilizer in the fuel tank also. I taped up the positive and negative posts and once I returned 11 1/2 months later I had no issued. Good luck my man...
