Default time to check brakes?

ive been noticing this some what loud rubbing of metal that happens maybe 15% of the time when im not using the accelerator and instead im inching forward by letting go and then applying the brake.

car has almost 3k miles and its been happening for maybe the last 600 it doesnt feel right so show i take it to ford? will it be free and under their warranty?

Cars still under warranty. I'd take it back to the dealer and have them figure it out and fix it. The only way it wouldn't be covered under warranty is if you installed some aftermarket parts that caused the failure to occur, or the aftermarket part is the part that failed. Read up on the Magnuson–Moss.

Good luck...
