Default boss intake mani. gains?

States that adding this $459 boss intake mani. will get you "up to" 58whp and 40ft lbs of torque?

Any truth in that? If so, that's an AWESOME gain for under $500!

How difficult is it to install? just unbolt old one, bolt on new one?

"UP TO" as in the MAX. On a fully stock motor you will not see anywhere near that (like a 1/4th of that.

The reason is that the stock setup won't take advantage of the higher flow of the BOSS intake.

Add aggressive cams and maybe some port/polished heads and a new TB with CAI and Tune, yes, you could easily see that by adding the just the intake (when compared to that setup with the stock intake).

With the right cams, heads and a nice CAI I can maybe see 30rwhp out of an intake mani but maybe people have gotten 50rwhp gains who knows, just seems a little farfetched to me.

Sounds like creative advertising. It might gain 58hp & 40tq at 7500rpms...? But not at peak horsepower or peak torque.

At UPR Products, we sell the BOSS intake, and it's a good unit! But it's more for high rpm N/A combos or big power (blown?) combos.

Exactly... they don't tell you it's a gain of 58 PEAK hp.... it just means at some point it made 58 more hp than stock. It could mean instead of 100 hp @ 1200 rpm it made 158 @ 1200 - and was dead even at the peak.
