2011 5.0 already needs a motor
Good morning everyone, i purchased my 2011 5.0 in september. The car is fun to drive. On the 19th of November, i begin having problems. The car started knocking like it didnt have oil in it. I took it to crown ford in fayetteville nc. The guy told me that some bulletin came down from ford to put a additive in the oil. After they added to the oil, he told me to drive it until my next oil change. I couldnt make it that long, the car beginned to knock louder as i was driving it. I then took it to lafayette ford here in fayetteville also. This time they told me itwas some problems with those motors. I got a call from the service department and they said it was something dealing with the timing chain. Ok cool, a few days later, she called back and said i had some type of bearring problems. Now im waiting for ford to send them a new long block. Ive been without my lil pony for almost 2 weeks. By the way, the dealership wouldnt even give me a loaner car until mind was fixed. What kind of service is that? Have anyone had any major problems like myself. What other problems are people having with the new Coyotes?
Yeah that really sucks.....you would think the dealership would give you a loner car or something. I read in some of the other post people were having problems with the six-speed manual transmissions in the 5.0.....I hope everything works out for ya.
as much as I love the new motor there is just no way in hell you will ever get me to buy the first series of any motor. As smart as the engineers are and with as good as manf has got there will be problems to come up that they will never see comming, and changes that need to be made to correct these issues.
