Default Gear Grind

Hey everyone, im new to the forums. i was hoping maybe somebody here would be able to help me out because so far the shops haven't been able to give me an answer.

When i am driving all is normal until i move from 4th to 5th i hear what sounds to be a grind or a rubbing noise. has anybody experienced this? i took it to Ford and they flushed the transmission out and basically told me if this dosent work you need a transmission rebuild. i find it hard to believe it needs a rebuild with only 65K. this only happens when im putting in into 5th, all other gears work smooth and there is nothing unusual when 5th gear is engaged. double clutching seems to help a little bit and if i hold the clutch in and let the rpm drop under 2k and push the gear in slowly it works fine with no problems.

any advise would be appreciated. thank you!
