Battery dies while driving
My 2006 v6 convertible Mustang battery died on me while driving. The battery light had come on so i was on my way to take it home and radio turned off, headlights turned off, ABS turned off, in car dashboard lighting turned off, but the car didn't turn off so i drove it home. The morning after i had to jump start and I took it in to AutoZone to have the battery and alternator tested. They tested both the battery and alternator to be fine even though the battery light was still on. I have a warranty on the battery so i had it changed with a new one but the battery light on my dashboard was still on. A day later driving home from work the battery dies on me while driving again.
To me it sounds like an alternator issue but it was tested fine so could the battery be shorting out from faulty wiring or something draining it?

start simple before you start throwing parts at it and check all the conenctions on the alt as well as the factory ground by the battery to ensure they are tight, as well as the battery terminals.
It probably is your alt and it was just the change from cold weather to a hot motor that caused something to expand and make it stop working.
