Default stock gt ground clearance

Does anyone know what the ground clearance of the side skirts should be on a stok 2003 GT? I measured right behind the front tires and got about 6" off the ground...

Hmmm..okay. I think I need new shocks...the rear right side of my car is sitting about a quarter inch lower than the right.

Can anyone recommend good shocks/struts?

the shocks do not affect ride height all they are for is dampening of the springs...The springs make the ride height.Chances are a 03 gt does not need shocks yet but anything is possible.I wish i had that much clearance i cant even slide a drop light under my car tried last night and it got stuck on the x pipe[:@]Damn thing is way to low

is your car sitting on level ground, a quarter inch does not seem that much too me. maybe a spring is saging. When i get home around 8:30 i will measure the ground clearence from the bottom of my sideskirts at all four corners. I have a stock suspencion on a 04 gt and stock sideskirts.

Well the car is off at the fenders too. From the fender to the tire is a different distance on each side. Thanks for measuring your car in advance. I'll start with that. Perhaps the springs were cut.

Sounds like you're good then. It could be weight distribution (something heavy in the the trunk on that side, or the car on an angle). If it was constant, then I would say the rubber spring isolators might have worn out. Alot of spring installs in magazines however, claim that in most cases the rubber isolators hold up pretty well and there is no need for urathane ones. Just a thought.
