Unhappy limp home mode

i need help bad this car driving me crazy. i have an 2008 mustang gt/cs and i recently took the battery out to help a friend and when i put it back in two days later the car went straight into limp home mode and ive tried turning it off and then back on and disconnecting battery then reconnecting and pulling the fuse for computer is there any way to manually clear or turn off the limp home mode without a "plug-in" analyzer, reader, tuner whatever everyone calling them .

if the battery has low voltage it could be messing with the pcm's funcions. I know the pcm requires a certain amount of voltage to operate properly.

I know you can reset the pcm by taking both battery posts off the battery and touching them together for a few seconds. This will discharge any voltage out of the computer making it forget everything. i've done it to reset codes before but not on anything newer than 2003, so do that at your own risk.

ya ive tried that too and some one else also told me to take negative off and turn lights on for ten minutes and vise versa i even pulled the pcm out of the car just so that way i know that there is no juice at all going to it and its still stuck in the limp home mode. i realll think im just gonna have to cough up the cash and take this one in my first car that i took to a shop.

1. Get in your car and turn the ignition to on but dont crank the car(leave it on this position)
2. Open the hood disconnect the ground for 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Get back in your car and turn the ignition to full off...pull out the key and close the door to your car.
4.re-connect the ground cable and close the hood.
5.Get back in your car, turn the key to on position and makesure all your gauges ,warning lights everything is on....wait 10 to 15 seconds and start upyour car.

A Ford tech buddie of mine said it workd 80% of the time...if not call the tow truck. Good luck.
