Default Brushed Aluminum?

I have a versalaser available for my use and I want to be able to design my own emblems and cut them out on Brushed Aluminum.

Does anybody know where I can get available. Maybe like a small sheet or something? What kind of local store would have it?

Thanks.

Apperently google has a lot to offer: http://www.jfreeman.com/metal_sheeting.html

I'd also try yp.bellsouth.net for the local searches.

You might try some of the local sheetmetal fabricators. Some times they will let you go through their scrap bins and you can find something useful, and FREE.Aircraft Spruce and Specialty sells sheet aluminum.

What he said. Or have you considered stainless? I keep 14ga, 12ga and 11ga, and always have plenty of small drop... plus you can brush it yourself, and not have to worry about any kind of oxidation... Polished finish 3B (what most people consider "brushed") is just 180 grit sanded...

give any machining store in your area a call. search for a place that sells lathes and milling machines and they should be able to recommend you to a place where you can get some scrap metal, or they might even carry some at the place you look up. you will save a lot of money if you find scrap metal rather than untouched metal.

thanks for the info, I will look around for some scrap metal and just use some sandpaper to it.
