a fenderwall "cai" isn't going to give you anything if the air heats up between the time it goes through the filter and the time it enter the motor, which it definitely does, especially if you have a metal pipe for airflow.

That is very true^^^^^...anyways a supercharger is SO HOT,hotter than any motor ,so does that mean it wont add horsepower??NO....... so either way if its in the fender or not its going to help

Saleen does have fender pickups on older saleens such as ones that came with vortechs not twin screws...Sorry blue I didnt want to agree with him but some saleens do have cold air pickups such as mineDo you still love me???I do agree thou he has no idea what hes talking about and the more he talks the worse it is!!!
You know what, your a traitor. lol. Maybe the older ones did [&:] I'm actually not too sure of that, but I know they stopped and started using the factory air box.

Hmmmm the filter on the NMRA car is open under the hood, and it is good enough for a an 11.8 pass on a car that is hyper sensitive to any changes. What we did on that car was to make our own filter mount and pipe, the pipe is very large diameter (3.5 or 4 inchs IIRC) and has very few bends in it, also the filter is larger than any of the off the shelf ones. I think that the abilty to flow a higher volume of air and having fewer bends outweighs the slightly cooler temp. at least on this particular car. Admiditly it is not the best looking set up, but it seems to do it's job.

Just a nother view of things. The best ram air system is one that is connected to a ram air hood, not under the bumper, because it is cleaner air and you don't have to worry about stuff from the street getting in the system. of course this requires a new hood so obviously it's more expensive. As for fender mount or not, my car draws air from the fender factory, so if and when I go to CAI i'm going fender mounted, because even if they aren't the smartest people in the world there must be a reason they put it there in the first place.

But you should go with what you think looks best really, you'll get more that a factory intake any day. And if you want real power supercharge it...or turbo, again what every your preferance. (personally turbo's are for imports )
