Ok, Im not sure if this is in the right forum but atleast I checked....but I was looking for a new rear bumper and found one at bumpers.com and they dont have my color and I was just wondering how much it would be to get a good paint job on just a rear bumper???....the color of my car is Dark green satin metallic incase that makes a diff.

2-3 sounds about right for a good job. My neighbor payed 4 grand to have his supra painted, and I have to say it looks amazing now.

 

My son had to replace his rear bumper cover also. Bought the new one at the same place as you . Even the same color needed ! Kind of freaky.
Anyway, He also replaced one rocker molding also and it cost him $500.00 to have both painted and installed. And that was at a very reputable shop. Yours should be a little less if it is only the bumper cover.

 

500 for a rocker and bumper installed and painted sounds like a deal.

 

I think it also depends on what city and state you live in also. Probably costs less here in Illinois than say California.
And of course that didn't include the cost of the parts. He bought those online at bumper.com also.

 

I own a body/repair shop. $200-$300 sounds about right for a PANEL PAINT of the parts installed. But you may want to ask how much to BLEND it. The paint will be overlaped into the next panel, therfore not running any risk of color mis-match. It will cost another $300 or so to do it. If the shop is good , they can get it close with a panel paint.

 

Mustang mommy what is a rocker??? And what are u ppl talking about 2-3 grand....Its only the bumper! And I dont think I'll need parts, my rear bumper now is fine except this hole about the size of a golf ball, so I think I'll be able to still use those screws and all that holding up my rear bumper already. But thats why I have to get a new bumper already to replace the one I have now with the hole in it...and as far as I know the only way to fix is to buy a new rear bumper?
